Getting started with photography means understanding and learning to observe light. 
This Lecture puts you in the right mindset to enter any realm of photography and makes you conscious of the varied aspects that are needed to nurture the right attitude to become a photographer.

This Lecture is specially meant for those who are worried about which camera to buy and or have doubts based on technology. History is just a glimpse into understanding the future. Giving you all the answers based on technology and differences in every camera empowers you to be able to realise the difference between every camera yourself.

Exposure based on intensity of light, Observing environment based on intensity of light, functioning of shutter, aperture and ISO, exposure meter, Lens Affiliation


This session enables us to not just understand exposure in the camera but also enables us to see and understand how our subject will react towards light and how we should attain the right balance in intensity. We do this by realising how shutter, aperture and ISO work along with attaining an understanding towards all the Lenses and their abilities. And learning to balance our exposure meter to get balanced light output by moving to get complete control over manual Photography.

Topics Covered:

Exposure priorities, use of shutter, aperture and ISO to create better effects in shots. Low light Photography and Extreme/Against light handling. 


This lecture is to learn the advanced exposure techniques. Exposure is not just about getting the intensity of light right, its about understanding which of the 3 dials to work on in which situation. And it gets trickier as we gain experience and use different lenses. We acting control over movement, depth of field and grain in our shots to create beautiful imagery and learn how to deal with low and high lighting scenarios.

i) Metering modes, 

ii) Focussing right with respect to the different auto focus modes.
iii)Manual focussing


Through clear demonstrations and examples we understand how the metering modes function, how we must learn to understand the area of emphasis and focus on them using the camera focussing techniques for guiding the viewers eye and communicating better through our pictures.

Learning to choose the right perspective with respect to the subject and the light hitting it. 


One of the most important choice is to understand where to stand, while clicking the picture. When we learn where the light source is and go into deeper realising where the subject should be placed gives you the power to choose the right mood of your photograph based on what we want to communicate through our picture. This is based on the theme or requirement by the client when it comes to professional photography, but we deal with it constantly in every photograph by bringing out the specific character traits out of our subject.

The lecture takes you through the numerous single light lighting techniques and how they affect your subject. 
With discussions on which technique is best suited for which genre of photography. Furthermore understanding of the age old 3 point lighting system and learning to recreate it easily in any given outdoor scenario.

Portrait and Product lighting techniques used by professionals.


This lecture is gives you an in depth into the various ways of lighting portraits that were used by painters in paintings to make the character stand out. It also covers various other techniques used in film and cinematic lighting. We also cover a section for the product photography lighting techniques and learn the language and terms used by photographers, coined just to be able to understand how each of these impact the subject’s mood.
