The Art of Portraiture and Lighting is an Expertise Program meant for photographers who want to level up their skills in all techniques of Lighting, and aim to advance your skill of photography with respect to portraiture. Whether you are a hobbyist who wants to click better pictures of your family or you are a wedding or studio photographer, or even a professional fashion photographer, you are in the right place!
The Program not only enables you to get hands-on training with best-in-class lenses, professional lighting and studio setups, it gives you an idea about how to create best lighting scenarios in outdoor, home and other event environments. Moreover, you get to understand the right attitude and the psychology with which you can make your portraits pop out.
Get affiliated with the right poses with respect to themes and scenarios to make your subjects comfortable, to bringing out the spark through conceptual and movement shots. For the cherry on the top, you learn how to edit your photographs from cleaning, colouring and finally grading through 6 dedicated classes on Lightroom.

SESSION I (Live on Zoom – 1 hour)
- Learning with Demonstration and examples
- Introduction to Portrait Photography?
- Camera – Subject – Source of Light Correlation
- Single source lighting
- 3 point lighting and how to create it in an outdoor environment
- Use of Flash and External Flash in Outdoor Shoots
- Doubt clearing
- Activity or assignment based on understanding
SESSION II (Outdoor Practical)
- Discussion and Assessment on previous Session’s Assignment
- 3 hour Practical Session with Lens, Light and Accessories support
- Single source lighting
- 3 point lighting and how to create it in an outdoor environment
- Use of Flash and External Flash in Outdoor Shoots
- Activity or assignment based on understanding
SESSION III & IV (Online – 3-4 hours)
- Discussion and Assessment on Previous Session Assignment
- 3 hour Practical Studio Session with Lens and Light support
- Understanding the theory of different Techniques of lighting
- Examples and demonstrations of these techniques with Pictures for preparing for the photoshoot
- Activity or assignment based on understanding
SESSION V (Studio Lighting with Model)
- Use of single light techniques in photography based on class 3 Theory
SESSION VI Studio Lighting techniques with Model and make-up on 2 fashion themes (4 hours)
- Learning all lighting techniques
- Learning poses and how to make you pictures tell a story frames
- Learning rules of framing and composition in Portrait Photography
SESSION VII – XII Learning Colouring and Grading on Lightroom (1 hour)
- Learning to clean and touch up your photographs
What is different about this course than other online courses?
All our courses are offered in one-on-one mentorship model. You will be personally guided through the course by the mentor. The mandatory practical assignments ensure hands-on training along with in-depth learning of the concepts.
What are the must-haves to attend this course?
The minimum requirement to join this course is curious mind and enthusiastic attitude. DSLR camera is preferable but optional.
Is the course in Hindi or English?
The course material is in English. During the session, the language can be either depending on your preference.
Do I get a certificate after finishing the course?
Yes, you will be provided with a graded certificate basis your final assessment.
What if I am unable to attend the class on the day I have booked for?
We will accommodate you in subsequent class and keep you informed of the dates. This is allowed ONCE.
What are the expenses outside of Course fee?
Since the program involves practical assignments as well, expenses include personal travel, meals etc.
Is it possible to extend the submission date for assignment?
Yes. During the course of the 6 weeks, you are allowed to take an extension on an assignment only ONCE. You will need to give notice atleast a week in advance. Please email us your reasons at mudart.connect@gmail.com. After validating the reason, an extension will be provided for only a WEEK.
